Head for a Cure
On Sunday, October 14, 2007, patients, their families, friends and supporters gathered at Queen’s Park for the 2007 Head for a Cure (HFAC) 5 km walk held in conjunction with the Toronto Marathon. It wasn’t a particularly sunny day but spirits were never brighter! The Pencer Centre banner was held high and led the way. 90 minutes later an amazing $150,000 been raised for the Patients and Family Advisory Fund at The Pencer Centre.
This year’s 5 km walk will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2008. Join the Head for a Cure team, and all the funds you raise will be directed to The Pencer Brain Tumor Centre, helping patients and their families cope with the devastating diagnosis of a brain tumor, and funding ground-breaking research in searc of a cure.
